FieldTest Billing FAQ: How Do I Pay for my Ad Campaigns?

What is a billing threshold?

FieldTest uses a simple billing threshold system, allowing you to "pay as you go" throughout the duration of your campaigns.

Rather than charge you up-front for your total campaign budget prior to launching, we charge your payment method occasionally throughout the duration of your campaign, whenever your spend reaches your "Billing Threshold", which is visible on your account billing page.

For example: If your desired campaign budget is $1000, and your billing threshold is $100, we would charge your card ten times throughout the duration of your campaign, every time your spent budget reached increments of $100.  

How do I increase my billing threshold?

For most new users, the billing threshold is set to anywhere from $75 to $100. This threshold will increase over time as we continue to work together, and as you run more and more campaigns.  You can check your billing threshold (as well as your daily spend cap) on your Billing page, accessible from the account dropdown on the top right of your FieldTest platform interface. If you'd like us to expedite review of your billing threshold for large campaigns or key initiatives, please contact support@fieldtest.la.

What is my daily spend cap? Can I increase that too?

Your daily spend cap is the total we allow you to spend across all campaigns on a daily basis. For most new users this is capped at $100. This cap will increase over time (just like your billing threshold), the longer we work together. If you'd like us to expedite review of your spend cap for large campaigns or key initiatives, please contact support@fieldtest.la.

Am I ever charged for my full ad budget if I pause mid-campaign? What if I want to spend money on other campaigns instead?

Totally fine.  You are never charged for any unspent budget. We only charge your payment method on file as your campaign is running and spending the budget you set.  You can increase, decrease, pause, or create new campaigns with complete freedom - we will still adhere to your billing threshold, and run the campaign for your desired daily or set schedule, until the campaign ends or we spend the total limit (budget) you designated.

Where can I add or update my payment method?

Your payment information is located on your Billing page, which is accessible from the dropdown menu at the top right of your FieldTest platform interface. 

You must have a payment method on file to launch any campaign, and you can add more than one if you'd like, choosing a default method for us to use for your campaigns. You may remove your payment methods (as long as you have no campaign currently live).

I see a section for campaign credit on the billing page. What is this?

Campaign credit can be granted on rare occasions from the FieldTest team for customer service purposes or redeemed from vouchers from FieldTest marketing promotions. If you are a fully managed client (where we handle your campaigns for you), we may gather payment from you directly via wire or ACH.

I'm an older returning client, and I believe I may have credit.

If you worked with us when we used our older "pre-pay" system for our ad campaign budgets, and you had any unspent budget left remaining, that amount will be applied as credit usable on future campaigns, and visible on your Billing page, accessible from the dropdown menu at the top right of your FieldTest platform interface. 

How will I know when my card has been charged?

We’ll send an email to your billing account whenever we charge your card. If you prefer not to receive billing notification you can change the email address receiving those notices.
